Prolutex Description Prolutex comes as vials for subcutaneous or intramuscular injection.
Prolutex 25mg, solution for injection contains the active ingredient Progesterone. Progesterone is a naturally occurring female sex hormone. The medicine works on the lining of the womb and helps becoming pregnant and staying pregnant.
Prolutex is for women who need extra progesterone while undergoing treatment in an Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) programme who are unable to use or tolerate vaginal preparations. Prolutex’s preservative and solvent-free formulation side-steps potentially severe irritation and allergic responses that may occur with oil-based progesterone injections as well as the the sometimes uncomfortable local side-effects associated with the vaginal route.
Prolutex - What's Included
Each box contains 7 vials, each containing 25mg progesterone solution.
Needles and syringes are not included and need to be purchased separately.
The size of needles and syringes required will be determined by your physician.

Prolutex contains 25 mg of progesterone, a natural female sex hormone, and is given when the body is not making enough of it. Prolutex is effective and safe in supporting the lute phase in ART patients.
Prolutex Side Effects:
Common side effects include: Headaches, faintness or nausea, and redness, itching, irritation or swelling/haematoma at the injection site, uterine spasm, vaginal bleeding, or tenderness of the breasts.
