Synarel is a nasal spray.
Synarel spray (Nafarelin nasal) is a nasal spray containing the active ingredient Nafarelin Acetate. It is a man-made form of the gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH) that helps regulate the menstrual cycle, fertility, and sexual development during puberty. In women, this compound decreases Estrogen levels and when used in men it decreases testosterone levels. It is used a lot to help treat uterine disorders like Endometriosis as well as during fertility treatment.

Synarel on IVFPharmacy is made by Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. It is a brand medication, not generic. The drug composition is exactly the same as Synarel in the US but the packaging may vary slightly.

Synarel nasal spray is used to treat various fertility troubles and uterine disorders like Endometriosis and can even treat and prolong the onset of early puberty. It does this by mimicking the naturally produced GnRH hormone (gonadotropin releasing hormone) to encourage the reduction of estrogen in women and testosterone in men.
Synarel Side Effects:
Common Synarel side effects include: Nasal irritation, hot flashes, vaginal discharge, or mood swings may occur in children. Nasal irritation, hot flashes, headaches, mood swings, decreased sexual interest, muscle pain, vaginal dryness, acne, or decrease in breast size may occur in women.
Serious Synarel side effects that require medical attention include: Abdominal/lower back pain, bone pain, depression, fast/pounding heartbeat, numbness/tingling of arms/legs or eye pain.
In rare cases this medication can affect your pituitary gland (pituitary apoplexy), this usually happens in the first hour to 2 weeks after your first dose of this medication. If you develop a sudden severe headache, have mental/mood changes (e.g., confusion), vision changes or vomiting then get urgent physician care.
