Each CLIMARA 50 / 3.8 mg patch contains 3.8mg of estradiol and releases a nominal 50 micrograms / 0.05mg per 24 hours.
Each CLIMARA FORTE 100 / 7.6 mg patch contains 7.6mg of estradiol and releases a nominal 100 micrograms / 0.1mg per 24 hours.

This medication is used to treat infertility in women who do not make enough of the natural hormone progesterone. Progesterone works by preparing the lining of the womb to receive a fertilized egg. This hormone is needed to maintain a pregnancy.
This medication is also used to restore menstrual cycles in women whose cycles have stopped.

Climara Side Effects:
Common side effects include: back pain, headache, itching or pain of the vagina or genital area, thick, white vaginal discharge with mild or no odor, weight gain.
Less common side effects include: body aches or pain, chills, cough, diarrhea, ear congestion, loss of voice, nasal congestion, runny nose, sneezing, sore throat.
