Estrogel Uses & Indications:
Estrogel is a transdermal gel, meaning it is applied to the body and is absorbed into the blood stream via the skin. Estrogel is used in women suffering from low Estrogen levels. It increases Estrogen levels by supplementing the body’s natural Estrogen production and therefore helps to reduce low Estrogen side effects.
Estrogel Side Effects:
Common Estrogel side effects include: Nausea/vomiting, bloating, breast tenderness, headache, or weight changes.
Serious Estrogel side effects include: Mental/mood changes (such as depression, memory loss), breast lumps, unusual vaginal bleeding (such as spotting, breakthrough bleeding, prolonged/recurrent bleeding), increased or new vaginal irritation/itching/odor/discharge, severe stomach/abdominal pain, persistent nausea/vomiting, yellowing eyes/skin, dark urine, swelling hands/ankles/feet or increased thirst/urination.
Also watch out for signs of blood clotting, heart attack, stroke or deep vein thrombosis. These are very rare side effects and you should consult with your doctor immediately if you experience any of the following symptoms: chest/jaw/left arm pain, unusual sweating, sudden/severe headache, weakness on one side of the body, confusion, slurred speech, sudden vision changes (such as partial/complete blindness), pain/redness/swelling of legs, tingling/weakness/numbness in the arms/legs, trouble breathing, coughing up blood or sudden dizziness/fainting.
