Lupron Description
Lupron is an injection
The active ingredient in Lupron is Leuprolide. Leuprolide Acetate is a synthetic form of the naturally occurring gonadotropin releasing hormone (GnRH or LHRH). Lupron is used to treat various hormonal conditions, everything from prostate cancer to Endometriosis and fertility problems. Leuprolide works by reducing the female sex hormone Estrogen levels in girls and women. In men and boys Leuprolide reduces the male sex hormone testosterone. For this reason Lupron is effective in treating uterine disorders like Endometriosis, fibroids and other conditions related to fertility troubles.

The Difference Between US and European Lupron
Lupron on IVFPharmacy is made by Abbott Pharmaceuticals. It is a brand medication, not generic. The drug composition is exactly the same as Lupron in the US but the packaging may vary slightly. In some countries, Lupron is known under the brand name Lucrin Depot, even though it is produced by the same manufacturers and is the exact same product.
